National Numeracy Day 2026

Our pupils celebrated National Numeracy Day by exploring how maths connects to the real world through a variety of engaging, hands-on activities.

EYFS: Developed early number confidence with a lively Numberblocks karaoke session and tackled special maths challenge booklets.
Key Stage 1: Explored fractions through a practical problem-solving challenge, finding creative ways to split three pizzas equally between four people.
Key Stage 2: Joined a live, nationwide financial literacy lesson hosted by Times Tables Rock Stars and National Numeracy. Working with guest expert 'Mr MoneyJar', our pupils applied their skills to smart spending, decoding special offers, and managing pocket money, even voting in live national polls during a game of 'Would You Rather?'.

It was fantastic to see all our pupils discussing their mathematical thinking so enthusiastically and demonstrating how maths is a vital skill for life.
