30 Hours Nursery Provision

Nursery Provision at Torkington Primary School

We are pleased to offer up to 30 hours of high-quality nursery provision per week during term time, providing a supportive, nurturing start to your child's education.
We welcome children to our nursery the term after they turn three. While our main intake happens every September, we also offer smaller intakes in January and after Easter, depending on space availability.

Our Nursery Sessions
All children are eligible for 15 hours of free early education per week. At Torkington, this is delivered across five morning sessions. To ensure continuity in learning and routine, children are allocated morning spaces and are required to attend every day.
Morning Session: 8.50am – 11.50am

Extended 30-Hour Provision
For parents who qualify for the additional 15 hours of free childcare, or those who wish to pay for extra sessions, we offer afternoon provision. If you are not eligible for government funding, these afternoon sessions are chargeable.
Afternoon Session: 12.20pm – 3.20pm                                                                                                                                                           Children staying for the full days will need to either bring a packed lunch or pay for school dinners (currently £2.60 per day).

Please note that places are allocated based on the current Stockport Local Authority admissions criteria and spaces available. Link: Stockport admissions
