???? Years 1–6 Become 'Planet Protectors' in Inspiring Two-Day Drama Workshop! ????

What a fantastic couple of days it has been across the school! Over the last two days, our school hall was transformed into a hub of creativity, passion, and environmental activism as pupils from Year 1 all the way up to Year 6 took part in the brilliant 'Our World, Our Future' cross-curricular drama workshop.

Led by a professional visiting actor, each year group took to the hall floor to fully immerse themselves in a role-play world, officially stepping up to become our school's very own 'Planet Protectors.'

???? Bringing Learning to Life

This unique, two-day event beautifully blended science and geography with the arts. From our youngest learners in Key Stage 1 to our oldest in Year 6, the children used the spacious hall setting to explore vital, real-world topics surrounding climate change and environmental conservation. It was wonderful to see them bring these important issues to life with such incredible energy, creativity, and maturity.

Across both days, the sessions proved to be a masterclass in developing key life skills, including:

Teamwork: Collaborating with peers to solve complex environmental scenarios.
Critical Thinking: Debating real-world challenges and brainstorming actionable solutions.
Oracy Skills: Using their voices confidently through poetry, role-play, and performance.

???? Incredibly Proud of Our Pupils

I was incredibly proud of how the children took true ownership of these global challenges over the two days. From Year 1 to Year 6, they proved that they don't just understand the issues—they truly have a voice in shaping our world's future.

A huge congratulations to all of our new Planet Protectors for their outstanding focus, empathy, and creativity. The future of our planet is definitely in safe hands!
