Sports Grant

What is the P.E and Sport Grant?

The PE and sport premium is a government funding stream designed to help primary schools. This extra funding is allocated directly to schools and is based on the number of children we have on role in Years 1-6.

The premium must be used to fund additional and sustainable improvements to the provision of PE and sport, for the benefit of primary-aged pupils, in the 2017 to 2018 academic year, to encourage the development of healthy, active lifestyles. Information on how much PE and Sports premium funding we have received and how it has been spent is detailed in the attached document.

We are, at Torkington Primary, encouraging pupils to live a healthy lifestyle, and raising attainment and aspirations of our pupils.
